Rumour has it that adding to the list of commandments will spawn a pestilence of illness and disease upon one who does so.
It’s time to take a risk, and make note of the thoughts that cause us to have hope – despite our obstacles – summarizing the experiences as acclimatized by a bearer of the faith and cross.
Being a largely sceptical person by nature, I am overtly modest in speech and tongue. My basis for writing comes from a deep trust of those who seek the guiding light of God’s hand, and from a belief that our internal discussions lead us to design the expectations of ourselves and those around us on a subliminal and esoteric level.
Searching for God is not a feat that comes without its own troubles. There are struggles, many mistakes, and frequently battles fought on what should be the principles of a following for people that are only seeking refuge from the day to day demons that haunt the ever-casual persona.
I am no stranger to these unsubtle inconveniences – including the feelings of despair and pain. When these emotions manifested in physical, mental, and especially spiritual senses, my heart had hardened to some of the realities of what is offered to us in the graces of modern day reasoning and deduction. However, not all intents of seeking God are dismal: many people find enlightenment and joy from the pure pleasure of taking steps towards a more prosperous and enveloping future for themselves.
The 11th Commandment is meant to be a reminder for us that our duty is to challenge the thoughts that cause a series of behaviours and actions in us that prevent us from taking steps towards participation in the courts of heaven and beyond.
I welcome you to take a moment to gather your possessions, market them aboard any of the modern-day tools you have available to you, and trade them in for sustenance in the form of generosity and grace for others. The 11th Commandment is a stepping stone towards the actualization of living simply and proportionately by the measure of grace that God has given us long before we ever stepped into this realm.
